History Heroes and History Inquiry Questions--Due Friday, September 6th

9/3/2013

You will select a History Hero of your choice from 4th grade Social Studies. It can be anyone you'd like to study in greater detail or a great life story you want to share. Then, research the inquiry questions most newspaper reporters ask--Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How? Take a look at how we build an article about the little-known General de Steuben at Valley Forge:
A good newspaper article will answer the questions readers want to know most:
  • Who are we reading about?
  • What happened?
  • When did it happen?
  • Where did it happen?
  • Why did it happen, or why is this important?
  • How does this affect me? Also, how does the writer know this information?
This may be an individual flip-cam skit or monologue, GoAnimate, Google presentation, Google Docs article, or collection of images and links with explanatory text on a new page of your website. The emphasis is on research first, then creatively communicating what you've learned, and giving credit to your sources.
